Invitation to Submit
On behalf of the Program Committee, we invite you to submit an abstract for the presentation at the 9th National Histology Conference. The organising committee encourages submission on topics related to our 2019 conference theme, ‘Diagnosis to Prognosis & Beyond’ in relation to diagnostic or research Histology and Histopathology.
How to Submit
Submissions are due by Friday 15 February, Midnight (CST).
All abstracts must be submitted through the online Presentation Portal on this page (see link above). Abstracts should be no more 250 words.
To submit a presentation, you will be asked to enter your email address and create a password. Once you have created an account you can submit more abstracts and to register for the conference.
Please save your file to your computer with the last and first name of the submitting author for the file name (lastname_firstname) prior to uploading the file in the Presentation Portal.
Authors will be notified of the status of their abstracts by Tuesday 12 March 2019.
While you will be asked to indicate your preferred presentation format, the Program Committee may request an alternative format be considered. The Committee will allocation presentations taking into account the overall balance of the program and relevance to the 2019 conference theme.
We anticipate that authors will be the principle presenter for one featured presentation, but may be the principle presenter for more than one impact presentation and display poster.

A0 Poster Measurements
841 mm wide x 1189 mm high | 33.1 inches wide x 46.8 inches high.
An A0 portrait size poster that will be displayed for the duration of the Conference. The abstract and a PDF of each accepted poster will be included in the conference website for delegates to view and download. Abstracts will also be printed in the delegate handbook. Presenters will also be asked to attend their poster during a specified viewing session to discuss the work with other delegates.
The Program Committee will review all submitted abstracts.
As there are limited places for oral presentations, the Committee will allocate abstracts and papers taking into the account the overall balance of the program. Some abstracts submitted for oral presentation may be offered posters. Authors in these cases will be advised and asked to confirm whether they wish to present a poster.
All presenters will be required to register for the conference and pay the appropriate registration fee. This may be discounted at the Program Committee’s discretion. Presenters will also need to meet their own travel and accommodation costs.

Each session room will be equipped for the presentation of PowerPoint slides and include a projector, screens, computer and sufficient audio / pas system including lectern and microphone for the speaker/s.
Presenters will take their PowerPoint slides to the conference on a memory stick, where an audiovisual technician will load the presentation onto the master system.
Video and audio clips should be embedded in the PowerPoint presentation rather than linking to external files.
All slides will be run from a central operations point and presentation computer. However, if you have a complex presentation, which includes multiple media files, we suggest you bring your own laptop as a backup should any issues arise. We always recommend backing up a copy of your presentation and supporting files to a secondary memory stick / computer or via email.
