Displaying a Poster at the Conference
All posters will be displayed within the Trade Exhibition Hall for the duration of the Conference for delegate convenience.
The abstract and a PDF of each accepted poster will be included in the conference website for delegates to view and download and abstracts will also be printed in the delegate handbook.
Presenters will also be asked to attend their poster during the viewing times noted below, if available, to discuss the work with other delegates.
Please include on your poster all contact details including name(s), organisation name, job title and email address(es). You may want to add your mobile phone number so delegates can arrange to meet you at your poster at specific times. Bringing some extra business cards to leave at your poster is also a good idea.
Please send an electronic / PDF copy of your poster to the Conference Organisers before 15 May 2019 – this can be emailed to: email@example.com
Posters must be no greater than 841mm wide and 1189mm high (A0). If this is a problem, please let us know.
All printing should be presented in at least 16 point font, preferably in bold and not all capitals.
Please put your contact information at the bottom, to allow others who are interested to contact you afterwards. Especially as your poster will be on display for the whole conference.
The panels provided as back drops will be velcro compatible. The organisers can provide the necessary velcro fixers.
You may be sharing the poster panel with another paper. If this is a problem, please let us know.
Please contact the conference organisers (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you require power, internet access &/or need any furniture around your poster display
We suggest that you be prepared to stand at or close to your poster for at least 30 minutes.
An overall left to right presentation (rows), rather than a top-to-bottom (columns), facilitates smooth traffic flow past your poster.
The poster should be self-explanatory, so that you are free to answer questions and discuss the research with interested persons.
There is no need to have a presentation but be prepared to answer questions and discuss your material with interested delegates.
When you are not there, and if applicable, leave a note saying when you plan to return. You may also want to provide a mobile phone number or business cards so another delegate can arrange to meet you at a specific time.
You should be prepared to take names and addresses for a subsequent mailing of information. Perhaps a sheet of paper on which people can provide their name, email address and work address would be useful, or you should be prepared to collect business cards
Poster & Exhibition Location & Viewing Times
The Trade Exhibition Hall in Hall L will be open throughout all conference morning teas, afternoon teas and lunches which are all catered in this hall. The Welcome Reception on Friday 24 May will also be located amongst the Trade Exhibition. Currently these breaks and social function are scheduled as follows:
